Anatomy tutoring for SRJC ANAT 1 students
Studying for ANAT 1 at Santa Rosa Junior College? Anthony can help you organize your current material and practice using it: identifying structures, comparing similar features, working through histology, and recalling information without the labels. Tutoring starts with the syllabus, lab lists, study guides, and permitted resources you provide. Course structure and exam format vary by instructor and semester. One-on-one sessions are $50/hour, with online tutoring available and in-person options in the North Bay.
North Bay Tutoring is an independent tutoring service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Santa Rosa Junior College. Course structure and exam format vary by instructor and semester.
Turn your current course materials into practice
A useful first step is to connect each item on your study guide to an action. Are you being asked to identify a structure, use a term accurately, describe a relationship, or explain an idea? We can work from your instructor’s written expectations and the examples available to you. If an expectation is unclear, note a specific question to ask your instructor rather than assuming another class or semester used the same approach.
Practice retrieval, not just recognition
If your practical asks you to identify an unlabeled structure under time pressure, studying only labeled diagrams is not enough. We can practice with your permitted course images and resources: remove the label, orient the view, identify the target, and explain the distinguishing feature. When you miss an item, we can compare it with the structure you confused it with and then return to an independent attempt.
- Use the terminology and scope in your current course materials.
- Mix targets after learning them so the sequence does not supply the answer.
- Check histology and model identification separately when both appear in your materials.
Bring the right starting point to your session
Send your course and instructor, next exam date if known, and the topics causing difficulty. A recent study attempt is especially useful: it shows where naming, orientation, or understanding breaks down. Sessions can address lab preparation, lecture concepts, active recall, and study planning. We use legitimate learning materials you are permitted to share; tutoring does not provide actual exam answers or access to restricted assessments.
